Living For Today As If It Were Our Last

When we are living for today and truly listening to the Heart of who God is then we can be still and know that no matter what we go through is not always promised tomorrow but we can live today as if it was our last. We love God and God loves us. We are His Beloved Children and Children of the Most High. If you are wondering, how do I get to the point of not giving up? How do I get to the point of giving up fear, worry, anxiety, and stress? Well, we can start with a simple prayer and asking Him to take all of that away. So let's look at the scriptures that talk about some of these things in know we should be living for today as if it were our last and living for today as tomorrow is never promised.

Hebrews 13 verse 5 says: Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.

Matthew 6 verse 31-34 says: So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Galatians 6 verse 7-8 says: Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Hebrews 4 verse 12 says: For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Proverbs 27 verse 1 says: Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.

Galatians 19-21 says: “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Romans 8 verse 28 says:  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Philippians 4 verse 13 says: I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Isaiah 41 verse 10 says: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

In all of these scriptures, we see how God is our everlasting light that allows us to be reminded that things work together for those who love and are called according to His Purpose. We see that it reminds us that we can do anything through Him because He strengthens us. It is a reminder that Christ lives in us, that we do not boast about tomorrow as we are living for today because we don't what what a day or tomorrow might bring. We see how God's Word is alive and that we can enter this time together to have the Living Breath Of Life of Jesus in us to overcome some of life's greatest trials and obstacles in what we go through daily. In other things, we shouldn't worry about tomorrow, and we should also have that reminder in our heart of knowing that God will never leave us nor forsake us.

Live As If You Were To Die Tomorrow, Learn as if you were to Live Forever.

God doesn't want you to worry about Tomorrow.

Take One Day At A Time. After All, Is The Tomorrow You Worried About Yesterday.

If You Lose Faith, You Lose All.

Every day is a Blessing From God.

Worry Does Not empty Tomorrow of it's sorrows, it empties today of it's strength.

Faith doesn't always mean that God changes your situation, Sometimes it means He changes You.

Everyone gets knocked down to the ground sometimes, Everyone has days where nothing seems to go right, We all lose hope, Lose the strength to try, Just don't lose faith, My God can make a way, Woah there wait a minute, This moments a gift, So I'll make the most of what's in front of me, I won't worry about tomorrow, I've got joy that's here to stay, I'm living for today

I'll take the next step, Trusting His plan, I know He's making my path straight, Whatever comes my way, I'm living for today, The winds of change can stir up doubt in the mind, They'll leave us wondering how we'll ever get by, Don't let it keep you from what's right before your eyes, Don't forget, My God can provide, Woah there wait a minute, This moments a gift, So I'll make the most of what's in front of me, I won't worry about tomorrow, I've got joy that's here to stay, I'm living for today, I'll take the next step, Trusting His plan, I know He's making my path straight, Whatever comes my way, I'm living for today.

What a day, what a day, what a day, What a day, what a day that will be (ayy), Anybody else tired of being tired, Anybody else worn out from the race, Come on now, lift your head a little higher, It won't be long before we leave this place (ayy), Hard times make your heart keep forgetting, We're here for now, yeah, but we're not here to stay, Our home is a place called Heaven, And it won't be long before we leave this place (ayy), Hold on, I know the road is looking so long, But soon these troubles will be long gone, yeah, If you believe it, let me hear you say, What a day, what a day, what a day, What a day, what a day that will be, When the trumpet sounds and the clouds divide, Oh, hallelujah, gonna wave goodbye, What a day, what a day, what a day, What a day, what a day that will be, When my Jesus' face I finally see, Oh, what a day, what a day that will be, Gonna trade these trials for a mansion, Gonna trade these tears for a song, Holy, holy, holy, All God's children gonna sing along, So, hold on (hold on), I know the road is looking so long (so long), But soon these troubles will be long gone (long gone), If you believe it, let me hear you say (yeah), What a day, what a day, what a day, What a day, what a day that will be, When the trumpet sounds and the clouds divide, Oh, hallelujah, gonna wave goodbye, What a day, what a day, what a day, What a day, what a day that will be, When my Jesus' face I finally see, Oh, what a day, what a day that will be.

We see here by the song called Living For Today by Joe Guerra and What A Day by Matthew West, that we don't have to be afraid cause what a glorious day it will be to know that what we did living for today in the moment of Hope, Faith, Love, Humility, Kindness, Generosity, Humbleness, Patience and Self Control that all these things that we do in Living For Today without knowing what Tomorrow will bring, can come a long way in knowing that just like in Jeremiah 29 verse 11 it says: For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you but to give you a hope and a future. This here is another reminder of why we should never take for granted the things that go on in our life because we don't know what tomorrow will bring and so sometimes we should be living for today as if it were our last, and cherishing the moments with family, friends, and doing God's Will in the midst of it all because all the things we are called into this life is the plans that God is doing.

Never Be Afraid To Trust An Unknown Future to A Known God.

Grace Is When God Gives Us good things that we don't deserve. Mercy is when we spares us from bad things we deserve. Blessings are when He is generous with both. Truly we can never run out of reasons to thank Him. God is Good All The Time.

Some People Didn't Wake Up Today, Yesterday Was Their Very Last Day. The Truth Is We Don't Know How Many Days We Have Left. All We Know Is That We Have This Day. Live Today With A Grateful Heart And Bring Your Fullness To The Moment.

Live In The Present

Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the Now the primary of your Life.

When I read this quote, I think it's one that reminds what I've shared in the beginning and this far.

I say that because tomorrow is never promised and we should be cherishing ever second.

You may not understand today or tomorrow, but eventually God will Reveal why you went through everything you did.

See this is another perfect example of why we need to be living for today as we don't what holds tomorrow and we don't know what holds our future because only God knows.

God only knows what you've been through, God only knows what they say about you, God only knows the real you, but there's a kind of love that God only knows.

This song by for King and country is a reminder in how only God knows what will happen in our testimony's and what comes next because He is still crafting them daily so that we can grow stronger in our Faith, our Relationship with Him, and know that we are not too far gone.

We Ought To Be Living As If Jesus Died Yesterday. Rose This Morning, And Is Coming Back This Afternoon.

Because he lives I can face tomorrowBecause he lives all fear is goneBecause I know, I know he holds the futureAnd life is worth the living just because he lives

Then came the morning that sealed the promise, Your buried body began to breathe, Out of the silence, the roaring lion, Declared the grave has no claim on me, Jesus, yours is the victory, whoa!, Hallelujah, praise the one who set me free, Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me, You have broken every chain, There's salvation in your name, Jesus Christ, my living hope.

I've been thinking 'bout time, and where does it go, How can I stop my life from passing me by, I don't know

I've been thinking 'bout family and how it's going so fast, Will I wake up one morning just wishing that I could go back, I've been thinking 'bout lately, maybe, I can make a change and let You change me, So, with all of my heart, this is my prayer, Singing, oh Lord, keep me in the moment, Help me live with my eyes wide open, 'Cause I don't wanna miss what You have for me, Singing, oh Lord, show me what matters, Throw away what I'm chasing after, 'Cause I don't wanna miss what You have for me, Keep me in the moment, Oh, keep me in the moment, Keep me in the moment, 'Cause I don't wanna miss what You have for me, When I wake up in the morning, Lord, touch my heart, Don't let me stray, I just wanna stay where You are, All I got is one shot, one try, One go around in this beautiful life, Nothing is wasted when everything's placed in Your hands.

Singing oh, there is a life for every soul, No matter where you've been just come on home, Let all God's children sing along, Hallelujah, chains are gone, Mercy is a song, A song of the redeemed, I want to set free
A glimpse of what waits for you and me, Heaven is a mansion, a promise in the sky, That one day we will be singing with those angels up on high, That old familiar melody, like we've known it all along, Oh, heaven is a mansion and mercy is a song, Heaven is a mansion and mercy is a song, Oh, tell me, can you hear it, Singing oh, there is a life for every soul, (There is a life for every soul), No matter where you've been just come along, (No matter where you've been, where you've been), Let all God's children sing along (sing along), Hallelujah, chains are gone, Let all God's children sing along (sing along), Hallelujah, chains are gone, Mercy is a song (oh), Mercy is a song (oh), Mercy is a song (oh).
Oh, but somehow You don't see me like I do, Somehow You're still here, You're the God who stays. You're the God who stays, You're the one who runs in my direction, When the whole world walks away, You're the God who stands, With wide open arms, And You tell me nothing I have ever done can separate my heart, From the God who stays.

If today was my last day, I'd call my mom out of the blue, Take the time to say the words I seldom do, I'd leave my suitcase in the closet And tell the world it'll have to wait, Then I'd take my little girl on an ice cream date, What am I waiting for?, It ain't like I'm gonna live forever, I don't wanna miss it anymore, So from now on it's now or never, I'm gonna hold on to what matters And let the rest slip through my hands, What I would do, Is what I will do, While I can

I'd bring home baby's favourite flowers, Leave my work outside the door, And we'd laugh about how we both forgot, What we were mad at each other for, I'd let go of all my grudges

Make the choice to just forgive, Spend the rest of my time free, From all this hate and bitterness, So what am I waiting for?, It ain't like I'm gonna live forever, I don't wanna miss it anymore, So from now on it's now or never, I'm gonna hold on to what matters And let the rest slip through my hands, What I would do, Is what I will do, While I can, If today was my last day And it was almost time to go, I'd pick that old bible And I'd put down my phone, I'd watch the steam rise from my coffee, The sunrise in the sky, And I'd thank the lord for one more chance, To try and get it right, What am I waiting for? It ain't like I'm gonna live forever, I don't wanna miss it anymore, So from now on it's now or never, I'm gonna hold on to what matters

And let the rest slip through my hands, What I would do, Is what I will do, While I can, What I would do, Is what I will do, While I can.

In this last song, I wanted to share, because while tomorrow is never promised, we should live our day like it's our last day while we can and that is why we should be living in the moment for Jesus and living today and for today as best as we can because while tomorrow is not promised and our last day on this earth is never guaranteed, we know that Living for Today and living for Him is one of the best things we as His Children can do because we have the moments to live our best life, we don't want to live life with regret. We don't want to live life knowing that we could've changed something, we don't want to live our life in the regret of feeling like we lost sight of what truly matters. What truly matters is living life for Christ daily. What truly matters is knowing that God is in control of this life we live but we can always do our best to overcome different things. We can always try our best to make a difference. Imagine if we were living our last day. Imagine if today was truly our last day. What would we do? What would we say? Where would we go? How would we make a difference in shining the Light Of Christ to others who don't even know who Jesus is? These are questions I want us to be reflecting on because I want us to know that these questions can be important as we go through this life in what we as believers realize a moment can change in an instant but other things that can last a life time. How are we going to be Living For Today as if it were our last day? How are we going to be living for Jesus as if everything right now, were not guaranteed tomorrow? All questions to ask for ourselves as we go about our week, weekend, and how we can be a living a life that is great for God who is Merciful, Loving, and has all of His Beloved Children's best interests at heart.

So Take Heart for He Has Overcome The World.

So take heart, Take a breath, Let Me lift that heavy weight up off your chest, Take My hand, I know it's looking dark, When the world falls all around you, I won't let you fall apart, Take heart, Take heart.

Waking up knowing there's a reason, All my dreams come alive. Life is for living with You. I've made my decision, You lift me up, fill my eyes with wonder, Forever young in Your love. This freedom's untainted with You, No moment is wasted, See the sun now bursting through the clouds, Black and white turns to color all around, All is new, in the Savior I am found, This is living now, This is living now, You lead the way, God, You're right beside me, In Your love I'm complete, There's nothing like living with You, This life You created, I choose, See the sun now bursting through the clouds, Black and white turn to color all around, All is new, in the Savior I have found, This is living now, This is living now, You take me higher than I've been before, It's Your perfect love that sees me soar, God, Your freedom is an open door, You are everything I want and more, Maybe I ain't really know what livin' is (uh), Is it love, if it was, am I livin' it? (What?), Do I live in it? (Yeah) So astounding, Love is an ocean, you can drown me, The sweet embrace, the lovely taste, I taste and see I'm under grace, the place to be (yeah), It means I'll never need an umbrella, I'm cool in the cold and the hot weather, Whether or never I ever understand, I'm a man in the hands of great plans, I stand with faith in a life I never known or touched, It's still outside my clutch, but, I'm like, what's to dream of? What's to hope in?, What's to die for? Live to no end?, This is living, the life I've been given's a gift, If I'ma live it, I'ma live it to death, So what's the dream of? What's the hope in?, What's to die for and live to no end?, This is living, the life I've been given's a gift, If I'm a live it, I'm a live it to death, yeah, This is living now, This is living now.

Is this the end?, Or only the beginning?, The second chance, You never thought you'd get, The question is
Will you do something with it, Or spend your days, Lost in your regret, This is the story of your life, You decide, How the rest is gonna read, This is your chance between the lines, To redefine what kind of legacy you leave, This is the story of your life, And it's a story worth telling, Breathe in deep, Feel your heart still beating, Let's go see the reason you're alive, Oh you are here, And love is up to something, So take your fear, And leave it all behind, This is the story of your life, You decide, How the rest is gonna read, This is your chance between the lines, To redefine what kind of legacy you leave, This is the story of your life, And it's a story worth telling.
You're the God who goes before, You're the God who comes behind
You're the God who dreams big dreams, With the perfect plan at the perfect time, I can only see what is, You see what will be, I believe You change the world, Through people like me.
People like me, I see 'em in Your story, You take the weak, You take the least And do somethin' mighty
Oh-oh-oh-ohh, Even when we fail, we kno-o-o-ow, There's grace to turn the page.
Let all of these last things be a reminder to know that God has been in control, and as we leave with all of these things we know God can do things to help us, to challenge us, to grow and strengthen us in our heart.
How are we living for today? How are we going to live as if it were our last? What would each one of us want to be remembered doing if it were our last day and what would that look like in our life in the present if we were to imagine our last day being today? How would we live for Christ?
Jesus Died For You In Public. So Don't Only Live For Him In Private.
Life Is God's Novel. Let Him Write It.
Jesus opened the door of eternity that brings us back into the Father's presence. This door will never be shut again.
Remember who you are. Don't compromise for anyone, You are a child of the Almighty God. Live That Truth.
Let me end on this quote that says this: Christ was never in a hurry. There was no rushing forward, no anticipating, no fretting over what might be. Each day's duties were done as each day brought them, and the rest was left behind with God.
I wanted to end on this quote because I felt it was important to end on something like this because while we tomorrow is never promised, never guaranteed, we should not only live in the moment but live for today as if it were our last, cause don't we want to be remembered as someone who lived their day as if it were a day that was just temporary? How do all of you want to be remembered? How do you want others to know you by? What kind of legacy do you want to leave? What legacy do you want to live? What life do you want to live now and what legacy do you want to make in the Christ like Faith, the child like Faith of our hope in Him?
No matter what let's go through our life and live just as Jesus shows us.
Live
Inspire
Faith
Eternal
Is Hopeful In God and With God Nothing Is Impossible and Anything Is Possible when we are living for best life and doing our best for Christ.
